The government has announced more details on its £1 billion catch up fund, which includes a one-off £650 million catch-up premium and the £350 million National Tutoring Programme.
Each secondary school will get a minimum of £5,150 per pupil and each primary a minimum of £4,000 per pupil under the national funding formula from 2021.
The Department for Education has approved 35 new special free schools that will give pupils with complex needs access to equipment that supports their individual needs.
