The National Education Union (NEU) has launched an app for its members to escalate Covid-safety concerns in their workplace, as well as worries over increased workload as a result of coronavirus.
The NEU says the escalation app will helps groups of members who don’t have a rep and workplace reps to escalate concerns quickly.
It comes as the NEU has launched a campaign for schools to be closed during the national lockdown, due to start on Thursday.
The app asks the user some general questions before asking if there are any concerns in their workplace and what stage they are at at resolving the issues.
If the user has asked for support as part of the escalation app, they will be contacted by their local branch or region to discuss how to take things forward in your workplace.
