Nominations are now open for the Global Teacher Prize 2017, which offers a $1 million award for the winning teacher.
The annual award is open to teachers all over the world and recognises an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to their profession.
This year saw Hanan Al Hroub from Palestine received her Global Teacher Prize, who was recognised for her work to develop trust and respect and help pupils to build honest relationships, offering specialist support to pupils exposed to violence in their local areas.
Nominations are can be made online via www.globalteacherprize.org, where teachers can also apply to put themselves in the running for the 2017 prize.
