Pupils at six Bridgend county primary schools have improved their behaviour and learnt how to be nicer to each other thanks to programme delivered by children’s charity Barnardo’s.
Twenty four families, compared to six last year, have lost their school places after giving false information to get their children into the best schools.
Fifty three per cent of 11-year-olds made the grade in reading, writing and mathematics in this year’s primary school SATs, meaning 47 per cent of pupils are considered not to have made the grade in the three Rs.
