Speech & Language Link delivers connected speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) solutions that equip early years settings and schools to meet the speech, language and communication needs of children and young people with confidence.

Our purpose is to ensure that children with SLCN are identified early and supported effectively, so that they can build the communication skills they need to learn, participate and achieve.

Available through a cost-effective annual subscription, our connected SLCN solutions are delivered through a range of online speech and language packages that bring assessment, intervention and professional development together in one joined-up system. Each package is tailored to a specific stage of education, from early years through to KS3. All assessments, interventions and training tools are created by our in-house team of specialist speech and language therapists and are designed to embed easily across early years settings and schools.

Assessment quality sits at the heart of our approach. Speech & Language Link works in long-standing collaboration with The Psychometrics Centre – University of Cambridge to support the design, standardisation and ongoing development of our language assessments. This ensures that these tools are statistically robust, child-friendly and reliable. Universal screening enables settings to identify language needs early, ensuring no child is overlooked and that appropriate support can be put in place at the right time.

Assessment outcomes link directly to fully resourced interventions designed to make a meaningful and functional difference within learning environments and beyond. Our interventions and classroom support strategies promote a whole setting and whole school approach that strengthens communication skills for all children.

Training and guidance are an integral part of our SLCN solutions, providing structured learning for staff across educational settings to build knowledge, confidence and practical skills in supporting speech, language and communication needs. Our Help Desk offers direct access to a friendly and knowledgeable team with experience working in early years settings and schools, including speech and language therapists who provide practical guidance through professional advice. We also share up-to-date SLCN knowledge through our monthly newsletters, blogs, regular webinars and our termly magazines, The Link Primary and The Link Secondary.
