YPO

For over 50 years, YPO has been a major part of public sector procurement, providing quality resources and services to schools, nurseries, and local authorities. At the heart of YPO's mission lies a deep commitment to education and early years, helping to create the best possible start for all children across the UK.

YPO's education and early years offering is designed to support every stage of childhood learning, starting from the first steps in nursery and continuing throughout primary and secondary education. YPO supplies a wide range of over 20,000 products, including stationery, classroom furniture, outdoor play equipment, arts and crafts materials, curriculum resources, and so much more – all carefully selected to meet the teaching needs of educators and childcare professionals. In addition, YPO's framework agreements allow schools to procure essential services, such as catering, cleaning, and ICT, in ways that are ethical, environmentally responsible, and fully compliant with procurement legislation.

But YPO goes beyond simply being a supplier. The organisation works in close partnership with teachers, early years practitioners and local councils to understand their challenges and develop practical, value-driven solutions. This consultative approach has made YPO a trusted partner for thousands of schools and early years settings, who rely on the organisation for quality, consistency and ease.

As a public sector buying organisation, YPO is committed to transparency and compliance. The organisation shares profits with its public sector customers through the loyalty scheme, helping to support wider community outcomes. Since 2010, YPO has given back over £19.2m to schools, with the total amount rapidly increasing with every year that passes.

Sustainability and social value are also central to YPO's educational ethos. YPO launched an exclusive partnership with the UK's leading child protection charity, the NSPCC, to help support their invaluable work in improving children's lives. As part of the partnership, YPO will raise awareness of the NSPCC's vital campaigns and give back a minimum of £20,000 from its annual YPO brand sales profits, having already contributed over £150k since 2022. The YPO team will also engage in initiatives that promote fundraising and awareness for the charity to help create a safer future for children.

As the education sector continues to evolve, YPO remains a committed supplier, adapting to new curriculums, technologies, and frameworks. With a focus on quality, affordability, and impact, YPO ensures that the foundations of learning are strong, right from the start.
