EB News: 29/06/2016 - 12:05
Pat Glass has resigned as shadow education secretary, just two days after being appointed to the role.
Glass claimed that while she regretted her decision, the situation was ‘untenable’.
The news follows a hurried reshuffle of shadow ministers, after more than 50 MPs resigned from Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s shadow team, claiming a vote of no confidence.
In a statement published on social media, Glass said: "It is with a heavy heart that I have today resigned as Shadow SoS Education. My dream job but the situation is untenable.
