EB News: 25/11/2024 - 09:24
Former school cook and immediate past chair of LACA Anita Brown has been named as the vice chair of the Public Sector Catering Alliance.
The PSC Alliance provides a collaborative forum and lobbying voice on issues across education, health and social care, prisons, and the military.
Jayne Jones, assistant director for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, has been named as the chair of the organisation, which Anita will take over after being vice chair for two ears.
Anita started as a school cook during times of endless budgets and no standards, and now works as a service manager at Stockton on Tees Borough Council. Over the years, Anita has seen lots of changes through Best Value and Compulsory Competitive Tendering (CCT).
Stockton on Tees Borough Council provides school meals to 50 schools and academies across the borough meeting the needs of their diverse communities.
On Anita’s appointment, “I’m delighted that Anita is our vice chair, she is hard-working, caring, and values our people above all.”
