Secondary schools in Wales could open after Easter

Secondary schools could open after the Easter break on 12 April, the Welsh Government has said, although exam year students may return from 15 March in some capacity.

Three-to-seven year olds are already returning to classrooms in Wales in a phased return to to school.

Other primary pupils, and years 11 and 13, are due to return on 15 March if Covid case rates continue to fall.

Education Minister Kirsty Williams told a press conference it was "her preference" older pupils return after the holidays.
