Ofsted inspectors to be Covid tested before visits
EB News: 12/01/2021 - 09:24
Ofsted will take Covid-19 tests when conducting a monitoring visit that can only be done on site, new Ofsted guidance says.
From 18 January, Ofsted will start making monitoring inspections to primary, secondary and special schools and colleges graded inadequate or requires improvement, but the visits will not result in a grade.
The guidance says: "Inspectors are given up-to-date guidance on safety and supplied with PPE. We are arranging a testing programme, which will enable inspectors to take a test before face-to-face visits."
On site visits or inspections will be risk assessed based on the nature of the premises and the urgency of the work.
