Procurement training sessions for school staff
EB News: 10/02/2016 - 14:14
The Department for Education (DfE) and the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) have set up self-service introductory level public procurement training sessions for school staff with budget or buying responsibility.
Aimed at senior leadership teams, school business managers and governors, the bite size modules provide a cost effective route to improving school procurement skills by sharing knowledge of public procurement legislation and effective best practice.
Topics covered include analysing value, creating a specification, contract management and legislation.
A new survey by the British Council has revealed that more than two thirds (67%) of primary school age children say they would like to spend more time at school learning a language.
