BDSIP

Barking and Dagenham School Inclusion Partnership (BDSIP) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for children, young people and the professionals who support them. Since 2018, we have worked across education, local authority, health and voluntary sector settings to help build inclusive, effective and sustainable provision.

Our mission is simple: to ensure that children and young people, particularly those who face disadvantage or barriers to learning, can access high-quality support, achieve their potential and thrive within their communities.

BDSIP combines specialist expertise with a practical understanding of the challenges faced by schools, colleges and education services. This allows us to provide support that is evidence-informed, relevant and immediately applicable in professional practice.

Training and Professional Development

Professional learning sits at the heart of our work. We design and deliver high-quality training programmes that equip professionals with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make a meaningful difference to the children and young people they support.

Our training covers a broad range of areas including:

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Inclusion and whole-school approaches
  • Leadership development and coaching
  • Curriculum development and adaptation
  • High quality first or adaptive teaching and the universal offer
  • Safeguarding and wellbeing
  • Workforce development

We work with teachers, school leaders, teaching assistants, SENCOs, support staff, therapists and other professionals, offering flexible learning opportunities through conferences, workshops, accredited programmes and online learning.

Consultancy and School Improvement

Our advisers bring extensive experience from leadership in mainstream and specialist settings, enabling them to offer practical support grounded in real-world experience. Whether supporting strategic planning, reviewing SEND provision, developing inclusive practice or facilitating organisational change, our focus remains on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

We believe the most effective improvement happens with organisations, not to them. Our coaching-informed approach starts by listening carefully to understand each setting's context, strengths and ambitions. We work alongside leaders and teams to identify priorities, build capability and develop sustainable solutions that deliver the outcomes they are seeking.

Rather than providing one-size-fits-all recommendations, we support schools and services to develop the confidence, skills and systems needed to lead lasting improvement long after our involvement ends.

Resources and Practical Solutions

BDSIP develops resources that help professionals translate learning into practice. Our materials are designed to be accessible, engaging and immediately useful within educational settings.

By combining specialist knowledge with innovative approaches, we support professionals to access tools that save time, strengthen practice and improve learner experiences.

Our commitment to innovation means we continually explore new ways of supporting the sector, responding to emerging needs and ensuring that our services remain relevant in an evolving educational landscape.

A Trusted Partner

As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest our resources into developing services that benefit children, young people and the wider education community.

Clients choose BDSIP because of our reputation for quality, integrity and impact. We understand the realities of education and public services, and we work alongside organisations to deliver solutions that are both ambitious and achievable.

Our relationships are built on trust, collaboration and a shared commitment to inclusion. Whether delivering a single training session or supporting a long-term improvement programme, we seek to create lasting value for the organisations we work with.

Looking Ahead

The needs of children and young people continue to evolve, and the demands placed upon professionals have never been greater. BDSIP remains committed to supporting the sector through expert guidance, practical resources and high-quality professional development.

By bringing together specialist expertise, evidence-informed practice and a deep commitment to inclusion, we help organisations create environments where all children and young people can succeed.
