Wernick Buildings is a national provider of permanent modular building projects with a company history stretching back to 1934. From nursery ages through to higher education, we have decades of experience designing, manufacturing, and constructing modular building solutions for the education sector.
We deliver permanent and specialist teaching facilities both as a complete school and as an extension of an existing building, including the supply of specialist teaching equipment and features.
Our modular building systems offer a sophisticated, sustainable, and architecturally flexible solution, and come with a 50+ year design life. Through our knowledgeable and innovative approach to design, manufacture, and project management, we ensure that all our clients get the most out of their project.
The modular construction method is up to 50% quicker than traditional construction. While our buildings are being manufactured, on-site preparations begin simultaneously which significantly reduces the overall build programme. In addition, by utilising these offsite methods, we can guarantee minimum disruption to both the school and the surrounding area.
The factory-based process means that our buildings undergo numerous quality checks to ensure that they are made to the highest possible standard. All our buildings are ISO 9001 and IS0 14001 accredited, giving our clients more confidence in the quality of their facility.
We have Regional Offices situated across the UK with each office employing a committed construction team who oversee all on-site activities including foundation preparation, service connections and landscaping.
Sustainability is inherent throughout all our services as the nature of modular construction already means that waste and carbon emissions are drastically reduced. In addition, depending on requirements, green and innovative technologies can be incorporated into the design of any of our buildings to further improve its environmentally friendly credentials. Our buildings are proven to achieve an EPC rating of ‘A+’.
We know that procuring a new facility can be stressful, but at Wernick Buildings we pride ourselves on our service delivery. We make the process as easy as possible by assigning every client a dedicated project lead to guide them throughout their project.
From conception to handover, we will manage each project to ensure that it is a complete success. If specialist facilities are required, we are happy to work with preferred service providers or we can appoint from our approved industry partnership initiatives. We work collaboratively with our clients, taking control of the project to provide a full-turnkey solution.
We know from experience that providing the right learning environment is crucial for pupil engagement and development. Which is why our buildings offer an array of internal and external features and finishes from brickwork and timber render to external canopies. In addition, as part of our turnkey service, we can provide groundwork and landscaping services including car parks, playgrounds, and multifunctional game areas.
Internally, every aspect of the building is customisable, right down to the door handles. IT facilities, laboratories as well as withdrawal and sensory areas can be easily incorporated into the design of any building to make sure each facility is fully equipped to provide the optimum learning environment for pupils.
We can tailor the design of our buildings to suit the particular needs of the school. So, specialist facilities such as SEN-friendly classrooms, open-plan spaces, and column-free areas such as sports halls and atriums can be easily delivered.
From nursery, primary and secondary schools to higher education and SEN-friendly facilities, we can provide a permanent modular solution tailored specifically to your building needs.
