The Learning & Discovery Team at Knowsley Safari
The Learning & Discovery team is a department dedicated to education and schools. Monday to Friday during school term time, we’re teaching at Knowsley Safari or we’re visiting schools across the North West. At weekends and during school holidays we run out of school clubs for kids aged between 7 and 18.
If you’re looking to include some out of the classroom learning experiences within your teaching mix then we’ve put a handy guide to our services below. Email us to speak to the team for more information.
Workshops for your pupils
A discovery workshop is an important part to your visit. All of our discovery workshops are led by professional educators and use a combination of live animals and bio artefacts to really bring learning to life.
We have a range of curriculum linked topics for you to choose from, designed for the key stage you need. Visit the website or get in touch for more information.
Enhanced Discovery Days
An Enhanced Discovery Day at Knowsley Safari gives your students a whole day of learning. You will be looked after by one of our enthusiastic guides from start to finish. Pupils will enjoy everything the park has to offer and take part in some special activities which will enhance their interaction with our animals. Activities can include watching the meerkat feeding time, getting close to our birds of prey or taking a guided walking tour of the park.
We have two options for guided tours at the safari park both of which have been designed to help you and your pupils get the most out of your day.
